Not vehicle manufacterer approved. Despite claiming to meet manufacturer specifications, this oil categorically does not have any manufacturer approvals. A manufacturer approval is only granted after the oil in question has been submitted to said manufacturer, and undergone specific rigorous tests, and passes all of said tests. Because these tests are rigorous and demanding, when an oil passes said test, the oil manufacturer will usually shout from the proverbial tree-tops about such test pass result. Therefore, you should only purchase motor oils which have very specific wording on their bottle or website listing - that phrase being 'approved by.

Accordingly, this oil should not be used in any car less than about 25 years oldthis advice is from a qualified automotive engineering technician (ie, somebody considerably higher qualified than virtually all main dealer 'technicians', even their so-called 'master technicians').
