I first used this product in my 1992 ford orion after the first 1500 running miles, i sold that car at a 100. 000 miles and that engine started like the first day i brought it, this stuff realy works.

Happy Engine. I have been using slick 50 in the 3-litre v6 engine of my splendid 1996 toyota camry for many years. After 128,000 entirely trouble-free miles the engine still runs like the proverbial well-oiled sewing machine. I cannot speak too highly of this excellent product. .
Excellent Product. Have used slik50 in all my cars since the 1970s. Just changed my car for a skoda octavia (2 litre turbp diesel). On start-up the engine is quieter and runs more easily as slik50 makes the metal surfaces inside the engine to be slippery. By the same token the engine runs more smoothly and quietly, so that i get a little more power, speed and economy. Running through country lanes for 6 miles to pick up motorway around ipswich, my computer showed 77 mpg (!) which is beyond published performance. Maximum speed should be 129mph, but i guess it will be 134/5 mph, but they don't let me try it! mixed urban driving over the whole 85 mile return was 54. 6 mpg, with which i am well pleased. I recommend this additive to everyone. .

The car's less than 12 months old (5000 miles on the clock), but after 300 miles on a tank treated with this product, the engine power has increased significantly and on 'extra urban' cycle (quoted by the car manufacturer at 70. 6 mpg), i'm achieving almost 87 mpg. As a user of 'slick 50' oil additive, i am a fan of their products but if you want to realise the full potential of your diesel engine, contact 'superchips' in buckingham and then run this stuff through your fuel system. At this time, it will have paid for its self in a matter of weeks!.

I have always viewed slick 50 as a truly fantastic product. Back in the 'ol days when the product was relatively new the instructions used to specify that you added slick 50 when you had just changed the oil, leaving just enough oil capacity to add the product. Now they say you can add it at any time - however because i'm a stickler for these matters i still add it during an oil change. Various engines i have added it to quieten down right away. The reason i only added that amount and my personal warning that goes with it is that engines that share engine and gearbox oil in a wet clutch set up might find some clutch slip setting in if you get too carried away.
They used to claim an engine could run on even if the oil was emptied after this product had been used to treat it , theres no such claim now and the only instructions are on the box. The oil leak is as bad as ever (i did not buy this product hoping it would cure it ,it wont ,its a friction reducer)but my fuel consumption has improved from average of 46 to ,now 50mpg. Seems to make engine quieter and smoother , i have always used on higher mileage engines, 68k on my volvo v50 d5 and seems a bit better on fuel. Used this treatment on all my cars from the mid seventies, including a morris 1000, ford cortina, vauxhall carlton, vauxhall senator, all run to over 100k miles and more recently a mazda 626 1.
